Biography
Alexandre began his professional career with a dream start after a wire-to-wire victory in his very first event as a pro at the ALLIANZ EurOpen de Lyon, just six days after relinquishing his amateur status.
The week after representing his native France in the European Amateur Team Championships in Wales, he shot a three under par final round of 68 to finish on 16 under par 268 at Golf du Gouverneur, one clear of playing partner Anders Schmidt Hansen.
He became only the seventh player to win on his Challenge Tour debut, a select group which includes Edoardo Molinari and Martin Kaymer. Alex Ended the 2009 season in 26th place in the final Rankings and, after narrowly missing out on promotion to The European Tour at the Qualifying School – Final Stage, he returned to the Challenge Tour in 2010.
His third place finish at the Rolex Trophy – on the back of top six finishes in his previous two events – provided the momentum he needed to climb into the all-important top 20 of the Rankings.
In 2011 Alex made 11 cuts on the European Tour including a fifth place finish in the Irish Open. He finished 159th in the Race to Dubai and will be looking for another sucessful season on the Challenge Tour in 2012.
