Tom Murray

Country: England
Date of birth: 16/01/1990

Tom Murray joined ISM just days after coming through European Tour Qualifying School.

He is one of only two players to get all the way from the first stage, to secure full playing rights for 2015.

He has established himself on the European golfing scene and, along with Chris Lloyd, Toby Tree and Mitch Waite is part of ISM’s Class of 2019.

At the final stage of qualifying school at PGA Catalunya in Spain in 2015, Tom showed both quality and character to bounce back from an opening round of 76 with rounds of 64 and 63 on the way to earning his card by three shots.

He impressed with a first top-10 finish on the European Tour with a share of seventh place at the Nordea Masters in June 2015.

Tom went on to secure his first professional title with victory on a play-off at the Volopa Irish Challenge on the Challenge Tour in October 2015.

He also had significant results in consecutive years at the Kazakhstan Open, finishing third in 2017 and second in 2018, when he had three other top-10 finishes on the Challenge Tour.

Tom, who turned professional in 2009 and hails from Manchester, is the son of former European Open champion and current Senior Tour player Andrew Murray.

As well as his father, Tom has been strongly influenced by former Ryder Cup captain and legendary coach John Jacobs throughout his fledgling career.

Tom is associated with Lymm Golf Club and completed his PGA degree course under the guidance of Peter Barber of Didsbury Golf Club.
