ISM golfers produced a slew of sub-par scores on the final day of the English Challenge to finish inside the top 15 at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa in Essex.

Espen Kofstad, who won his first Challenge Tour title at last week’s Acaya Open, continued his recent fine form, signing for a one under 71 to finish third, five shots off the lead on 12 under.

Nick Dougherty fired a three under 69 for the third successive round to finish fourth on 11 under, his joint-best result of the season.

An eagle at the par-five 16th propelled Matthew Nixon to a one under 71 and tied fifth finish on ten under.

Peter Uihlein shot his second lowest round of the week, a three under 69, to secure a tied seventh finish on eight under.

Beginning the round level par, Chris Lloyd made six birdies in his final eight holes en route to carding a seven under 65. He was joined in tied 14th by Simon Wakefield, who carded a five under 67.

At the RBC Canadian Open, Charl Schwartzel posted a two under 68 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club to finish four under overall.
